MicroChip The Desert is a program to MicroChip every Companion Animal in the Coachella Valley , it was initiated in 1999 and interest was revived in 2005 by a group of local residents and animal welfare organizations. Much of the research here is outdated (Much from 2005) In it's current format this WEB Site is setup for archive/research. (Check update Table below to see info that is more current.)

After the implementation of the program the site was intended to act as a clearing house for information and news regarding things like, Costs of MicroChipping, Licensing, Low-Cost Chipping Clinics, Participating Veterinarians, etc. If you still have an interest in working on this project or have information to contribute please contact: chip@microchipthedesert.com
